I am a HUGE fan of Watson's work, so I was super excited for the release of this book. If you have ever read anything by Watson, you'll know that his work falls in the horror genre. He stepped outside of his normal with Be Kind, Rewind and nailed it. Be Kind, Rewind follows the life and love that Margaret and James share. The story grabbed me from the beginning. I instantly fell in love with Margaret and James. I enjoyed how they would pick at each other and act silly. A perfect relationship to me. One where you can still make each other laugh after many, many years together. The love they share is clear throughout the book. Watson did an amazing job with these two characters. Easily one of my favorite book couples.

The author always has a way of making you feel like you are in the story and this book is no different. Often, I felt like I was sitting in the same room as the main characters living life right along with them. Eventually tragedy strikes which was a jaw dropping moment for me. In typical Watson style he rips the rug out from under you and has you racing through the pages to find out what happens next. The ending was perfection and something I will not soon forget. You will be feeling all the emotions with this book! If you enjoy memorable characters that weave themselves into your heart you need to give this one a read. The imagery inside is fascinating and the story is one that will tug at your heartstrings. Indie Book Addict Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

About the Author

Born under a gloomy, grey, Scottish sky, it is perhaps no real surprise that darkness has always felt comfortable to John Watson. After countless hours spent in his local library, he found that he was more at home in the worlds of Clive Barker, Stephen King, and James Herbert than he was in his own. The need to carve out his own niche in the horror genre drove Watson to slice open his mind and let the words spill onto the page.

From donuts to mysterious karaoke bars in the middle of nowhere, Watson mines the depths of the ordinary to find the evil that lurks beneath the surface. He dares you to join him in his ongoing forays into the dark side

Watson is the author of Karaoke Night, Crueller, and Off The Grid. Stay up to date with the latest on John's work.|Amazon|Facebook|Instagram| Twitter |
