I loved the setup here! Several different characters ended up at the Elk Dale Hotel seeking refuge from a raging snowstorm. They had no idea of the hell that awaited them.
Talk about edge of your seat reading! Volpe nailed everything in this book. The dread just runs off the pages often leaving the reader to feel they are in this mess too. The descriptiveness had me seeing and smelling horrible things. Just when you think things are settling down you are blindsided with more twists. Excellent read that easily earned a spot in my top reads for this year.
